Grand Slam TennisBy: Tcboss @ 11-Jun-2009 07:40pm
EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis has been released globally today. Grand Slam Tennis is a game designed for the Wii, by EA Canada, and is the most intense and extended tennis game ever. Smash your opponents out of the court in all four Grand Slams, and experience action on the world famous Centre Court and on the U.S. Open.
Because of the realistic movements, it feels like you're actually playing real tennis in your living room. Grow to an immortal tennis-star in the gametype Grand Slam Career, and earn all four important titles. A lot of legendary real life tennis players will get on the field in this game.
Grand Slam Tennis is one of the first games compatible with Wii Motion Plus, an accessory which provides a lifelike tennis experience, authentic hits and hard smashes. With this accessory, you have your character under full control, and you can get the ball anywhere in the court with perfect accuracy. In europe, Grand Slam Tennis is sold in an exclusive combipack with the Wii Motion Plus.
In the gametype Tennis Party for multiple players, the tension on the field comes perfectly to life, so you and your friends can make it a nice and active evening. There are a handful of Tennis Party gametypes, under which 'King of the Court', 'Tag Team' and 'Drops and Lobs'. Thanks to the online-compatibility, you can always find a new opponent. If you win, you'll help your country to reach the top in the leaderboards.
Grand Slam Tennis isn't only a fun game to play, it is also a good way to stay fit. In the fitness section, you can keep track of how many calories you burn in each match. You can also set daily, weekly and monthly goals. This adds a total new dimension to an already really fun tennis experience!
Battlefield 3 is comingBy: Tcboss @ 11-Jun-2009 06:11pm
A post on twitter has come on 6 hours ago from the senior producer of Dice.
We can confirm that Battlefield 3 is currently in development but at this stage we have no further comments to add.
Click here to read it yourself. The same message has been posted on the EA Forums as well.
According to a post on G4TV.com, battlefield 3 is in development.
Criterion Games working on a Need For Speed game wasn't the only surprising bit of news that Electronic Arts chief operating office John Pleasants tucked into his presentation at the William Blair Growth Stock Conference I listened to today. Pleasants confirmed he's seen DICE's work on Battlefield 3.
"I've had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product," he said. "Of course, that's not [coming out] in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good."
Gamers worried that Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield 1943 were a three-pronged answer to fans demanding a third Battlefield don't have to worry. Battlefield 3 is coming!

Fuel - Thé racegame?By: Tcboss @ 10-Jun-2009 07:32pm
FUEL is the new race-game from Codemasters. Everyone expects a lot of it, but what is it actually?
FUEL is a game that is set on earth, but the earth has become uninhabitable because of the greenhouse effect. So, in FUEL you can find a lot of deserts. The game also has a lot of ice plains, forested areas, mountains, beaches, and of course pieces of road. You can find destroyed cities everywhere. This virtual world is 14,400 km² in total, and you can go anywhere you want.
Still not convinced? It also includes a few extreme weather conditions. What would you think if a gigantic powerful tornado would close in on you while racing? While the tornado destroys everything around you, you sometimes have to find another route, because there are pieces of debris everywhere.
A few daredevils stayed on the almost-empty-earth, to organize races. And – what else – one of those daredevils is you! You can go wild on the earth without being bored, because there are over 70 different vehicles!
Producer Phil Wright, describes FUEL as the most open game ever made. “It might take a few hours to get from one of the edges of the game-world to the other, but it is possible!”
Next to the artificial borders at the edge of the game world, there are several blockades which you will encounter. Think about water, piled up rocks, or simply the fact that you chose the wrong vehicle for the terrain.
The developer Asobo Studios – which is founded in France, and besides FUEL also developed Ratatouille and WALL-E – has done a lot of research in the American environment. They even used satellite data to get information about remote areas. “Mount Rainier, Crater Lake, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon have been developed this way”, said the producer.
FUEL will arrive the 29th of may for the PS3. The Xbox360 users will have to wait a week longer, because for them the game arrives the 5th of June. When FUEL will be released for the PC isn’t know yet, maybe also in June.
